introduction

Christianity is a Monotheistic religion that is about the life of Jesus Christ and his teachings. "This is the world's biggest religion with about 2.1 billion followers worldwide." Christians get their knowledge, wisdom, guidance, strength, help and their needs in a holy book called "the bible". The community of Christians is called "The Church" and the building where the Christians go to is called "the church".

Christianity, major religion, stemming from the life, teachings, and death of Jesus of Nazareth (the Christ, or the Anointed One of God) in the 1st century AD. It has become the largest of the world’s religions. Geographically the most widely diffused of all faiths, it has a constituency of more than 2 billion believers. Its largest groups are the Roman Catholic Church, the Eastern Orthodox churches, and the Protestant churches; in addition to these churches there are several independent churches of Eastern Christianity as well as numerous sects throughout the world. See also Eastern Orthodoxy; Roman Catholicism; and Protestantism.

The Holy Trinity
Other ways of referring to the Trinity are the Triune God and the Three-in-One.
The Trinity is a controversial doctrine; many Christians admit they don't understand it, while many more Christians don't understand it but think they do. The Holy Trinity is composed of The Father - The Son- and the Holy Spirit.

Text:
The Bible is not just one book, but an entire library, with stories, songs, poetry, letters and history, as well as literature that might more obviously qualify as 'religious'.
The Christian Bible has two sections, the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old Testament is the original Hebrew Bible, the sacred scriptures of the Jewish faith, written at different times between about 1200 and 165 BC. The New Testament books were written by Christians in the first century AD.
